This site is in the coastal town of Yamba in northern New South Wales; close to the Eastern most point of Australia. The climate is very temperate with only a short winter and good summer rainfall.

This family home utilizes intelligent orientation, operable screens, substantial cross ventilation, covered outdoor areas, and protected glazing to ensure the house performs well in the predominately warmer climate. The concrete slab floor also brings some thermal mass into the otherwise lightweight design.
